Tim Freeland and Domenic Torzi sourced this Chardonnay from the panoramic Adelaide Hills' hamlet of Echunga.

Coupled with their non-interventional, vegan friendly approach to winemaking, Longhop wines are fresh, generous and full of flavour.

Orchard fruits with a chalky, quartz-like texture and yellow melon finish.

2023

2023 was a cool vintage with late ripening of the grapes throughout the vineyards of the Adelaide Hills. Vintage continued into April and May, some of the latest on record. Yields were generally down, damp conditions in spring hindering flowering and fruit set. It was a tricky vintage to judge harvest times as the grapes crept towards ripeness with the ever present threat of botrytis looming. However, the dedication of our growers and some very clever and sound winemaking decisions has seen what could become one of our best ever white vintages.

Our Adelaide Hills Vineyard is located in the panoramic Adelaide Hills' hamlet of Echunga. Steep terroir allows for good drainage, with the site producing superior quality Chardonnay at lower yields.
